Job summary

Aintree Davenhill Primary School in Sefton is seeking an ambitious Assistant Headteacher – Standards & Attendance to join the Senior Leadership Team and drive the continued development of the school. The role will be non-class-based initially, with involvement in teaching and learning and potential modeling of teaching.

The post requires strong communication, safeguarding expertise and a clear commitment to raising standards, attendance and inclusive pupil achievement for all children.

Qualifications

• Excellent classroom practitioner with successful leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of teaching, learning, curriculum and assessment.
• Commitment to improving outcomes for disadvantaged and vulnerable pupils; safeguarding knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead whole-school standards and school improvement.
• Oversee attendance and punctuality initiatives.
• Support and develop teachers and subject leaders.
• Deputise as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL).
• Collaborate with Headteacher and SLT on strategic priorities.
