Job summary

SHROPSHIRE COUNCIL seeks a Headteacher for a Pontesbury school who believes in the fundamental importance of education in young people's lives and who can lead the school with vision and integrity.

The Headteacher will oversee day-to-day running, be responsible for the education of all pupils, manage staffing, budgets and resources, and ensure health and safety and compliance under the direction of the Trust.

Qualifications

• The post holder is required to meet the relevant standards required for the role, such as the DFE: National standards of excellence for headteachers 2015 and where relevant to adjust their work in line with other future changes to expectations and or regulations.

Responsibilities

• Education of all pupils and the quality and effectiveness of that work.
• Employment matters, work, and wellbeing of the staff team.
• Implementation of the school budget and resources; buildings/assets; Health and Safety and compliance under the direction of the Trust.
