Job summary

Olympus is an independent specialist day school in South Croydon under Horizon Care and Education, serving pupils aged 11–19 with SEN/SEMH. We seek an Assistant Headteacher to lead curriculum, teaching and achievement across the school.

The successful candidate will work with the Headteacher to uphold high standards, implement policies and support staff. Required: QTS/QTLS and recent SLT experience in SEN; OFSTED awareness and safeguarding qualifications.

Qualifications

• QTS or QTLS qualification required.
• Experience as Senior Leadership Team member in an SEN environment.
• Up-to-date safeguarding and child protection knowledge.
• Knowledge of OFSTED framework and SEN education sector.

Responsibilities

• Lead on curriculum, Teaching and Achievement.
• Exams Officer responsibilities.
• Mentor teachers and staff through qualifications.
• Experience in behaviour management and timetabling.
