We seek an energetic, committed professional with successful middle leadership experience and some whole-school involvement to join William Perkin C of E High School as Assistant Headteacher for SEN (SENCo) and Disadvantaged students. The school, part of the Twyford Church of England Academies Trust, was established in 2013 and has achieved outstanding Ofsted and SIAMS ratings.
The main purpose of this role is to ensure the needs of all SEN students are met within the mainstream curriculum or through additional support. Responsibilities include managing the SEN department's daily operations, overseeing individual education plans, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
The SENCO will design tailored timetables for EHCP students, deploy Teaching Assistants effectively, and ensure delivery of the core curriculum. The role also involves supporting disadvantaged students to achieve both academic and personal growth, ensuring equity in access and opportunities.
This position offers a significant professional development pathway, with opportunities to grow into a Deputy Headship within a supportive and forward-thinking leadership team.
