Job summary

Grosvenor Nursery School and Day Care Centre in Bolton is seeking an exceptional Assistant Headteacher to join a highly successful leadership team and shape the next chapter of this Outstanding setting. You will lead the curriculum across the Nursery School, Day Care Centre and High Needs Base, drive teaching quality, inclusion and safeguarding, and develop staff through coaching and mentoring.

Qualifications

Qualified Teacher Status (QT S) is required.
Significant EYFS teaching experience.
Proven leadership and management experience in an early years setting.
Excellent knowledge of the EYFS Framework, SEND Code of Practice and current educational developments.
Experience leading curriculum development, school improvement and developing others through coaching and mentoring.
Passion for inclusive practice and high aspirations for all children.

Responsibilities

Be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team.
Lead curriculum across the Nursery School, Day Care Centre and High Needs Base.
Design, implement, monitor and evaluate an engaging curriculum that reflects outstanding early years practice.
Lead and inspire high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across the setting.
Contribute to self-evaluation, school improvement planning and innovation.
Coach, mentor and develop staff to achieve high professional standards.
Champion exceptional provision for children with SEND and work with families and external partners.
Lead and develop our outdoors and Forest School provision.
Support the Headteacher in day-to-day leadership and deputise when required.
