We are recruiting an Assistant Headteacher with Teaching and Learning Responsibilities to join our team at Woodside Park School in Penge, South-East London, part of Options Autism.
The Assistant Headteacher will take lead for the whole school responsibility for Teaching & Learning, ensuring the best possible curriculum offer, provision, well-being, progress, and achievement for all pupils through monitoring and staff accountability.
They will take a creative approach to teaching pupils according to their educational needs, ensuring delivery of the curriculum that maximizes achievement, supported by the school and Outcomes First Group’s support team. The candidate should be a subject specialist in Maths, English, or Science.
This permanent role suits a proactive individual with middle leadership experience. SEN experience is preferred but not essential; candidates from other sectors interested in transferring skills into the SEN sector are welcome. The successful candidate must understand and accept Trauma-Informed Approaches, with training provided.
Woodside Park School provides specialist education for 36 pupils aged 7-11, with small class sizes and tailored qualifications. Options Autism has been providing care and education for over 16 years, and is part of Outcomes First Group, which is recognized as a 'Great Place to Work'.
