Job summary

Tweeddale Primary School, part of Greenshaw Learning Trust in London, seeks an Assistant Headteacher to shape school improvement, lead teaching quality and develop staff and pupils. Work with the Headteacher to embed high standards in teaching, behaviour and personal development across the school.

You will drive strategic direction, support curriculum development, and lead instructional coaching to raise attainment for every child while upholding the trust’s values of excellence and inclusion.

  • Evidence of strategic and creative leadership to develop and build shared vision with quality learning for all at its centre
  • Experience with a variety of assessment and monitoring strategies to improve the quality of teaching, designed to raise attainment and achievement
  • Used adaptive expertise to meet the range of pupils’ needs so that all make progress

Responsibilities

  • Support the Headteacher in providing strategic direction and the leadership and management of the school to embed a culture of academic ambition for every child
  • Lead and manage the quality of teaching and assessment, designing a programme of staff training and instructional coaching
  • Lead the development and delivery of the school’s curriculum, building subject leaders’ capacity to develop, monitor and evaluate curriculum and teaching in each subject

At Tweeddale Primary School, we are looking for a dedicated Assistant Headteacher to join our leadership team and contribute to the continued success of our school community.

About the Role

As an Assistant Headteacher, you will play a key role in shaping school improvement, leading strategic priorities and supporting the development of staff and pupils. You will work closely with the Headteacher and wider leadership team to ensure high standards of teaching, learning, behaviour and personal development are embedded across the school.

Tweeddale Primary School is a thriving, well-resourced two-form entry primary school, with a purpose-built wing for our Nursery and Reception classes.
