Job Title: Assistant Headteacher

Location: Brinksway School, Stockport

Salary: GBP40,000 - GBP45,000 per annum

Hours: 37.5 hours per week; 8:30 - 4:30 Monday to Friday

Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only

As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Headteacher to join our close-knit team at Brinksway School located in Stockport.

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for an inspiring assistant headteacher who has a passion for developing SMSC and Assessment and with strong interpersonal skills.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring high-quality assessment practices are implemented and maintained across the school, while also promoting and developing the spiritual, moral, social, and cultural growth of our pupils.

Key Task Areas and Responsibilities:

• To be responsible for progress and support of a Key Stage
• To be responsible for a specific curriculum or pastoral responsibility, as required to fulfil the school development plan and that supports teaching and learning
• To carry out teaching duties in accordance with the school's schemes of work and National Curriculum
• To meet in full the Professional Standards for Teachers
• To model and promote good practice in teaching and learning
• To contribute to and help implement developments that relate to the School Development Plan
• To monitor progress and targets to ensure that each individual student is able to achieve planned outcomes
• To ensure that all relevant education policies and procedures are implemented in full
• To liaise with colleagues and line manage staff to deliver the units of work in a collaborative way
• To work with the Head Teacher and leadership team to ensure that all staff follow the schools policy for Planning, Assessment, Recording and Reporting.

Our new Options Autism School - Brinksway School in Stockport. The school opened in September 2024 and will have capacity for 55 pupils.

Brinksway School will be a Primary and Secondary Special Educational Needs School for pupils with Autism.

For over 16 years Options Autism have provided care and education to pupils, young people and adults with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties.
