Job summary

Dakota Hotels in Manchester City Centre is seeking an experienced reservations professional to join our team as Assistant Head of Reservations. This role leads the multi-site reservations team, ensures bookings are accurate, and maximises revenue while delivering exceptional guest service.

Reporting to the Head of Reservations, you will oversee direct enquiries and third-party platforms, coach the team, stay up to date with packages, and foster strong on-property relationships; Shiji PMS

Qualifications

• Two years minimum in a hotel reservations supervisory or leadership role.
• Experience in a multi-site or centralised reservations environment preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Knowledge of Shiji PMS is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all reservation activity from direct enquiries to third-party platforms, ensuring accuracy and guest satisfaction.
• Lead and coach the Reservations team to meet or exceed targets and service standards.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of packages and promotions to drive upsell opportunities.
• Build strong relationships with on-property teams to ensure seamless service and recognition of repeat guests.
• Oversee system training (Shiji PMS) and operational processes to maintain confidence and accuracy.
• Manage third-party supplier relationships, including commission reconciliations and timely payments.
• Resolve complex booking issues with professionalism and urgency to protect brand reputation.
