Job Title: Assistant Head of Department - Construction

About the Role:

Based across both our Cambridge and Huntingdon Campuses, you will support the Head of Department in delivering leadership, management, and curriculum development in Construction & Building Services (Multi-Skills & Trowel Trades). Your role will involve inspiring staff and students through teaching, learning, and assessment, focusing on areas such as:

  • Construction Multi-Skills
  • Property Maintenance Operations
  • Bricklaying
What We’re Looking For:

We seek a candidate with strong leadership, industry expertise, and a passion for Further Education, including:

  • Extensive FE teaching experience
  • Understanding of industry skills and FE sector
  • Health & Safety knowledge relevant to construction
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., DET, DTLLS, Cert Ed, PGCE)
