Overview

First Military Recruitment is proudly working in partnership with a fantastic business which is looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor on a permanent basis due to growth at their Belfast office.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing contracts, providing a comprehensive commercial service from award to completion.
• Help achieve profitability and cash collection targets, prepare change control and payment applications.
• Support commercial deliverables in line with contract requirements, including cost control, cash collection, change control, and sub-contract administration.
• Handle contractual notifications, claims, and contract close-out processes.
• Develop commercial skills aligned with RICS competencies and understand company policies and business systems.
• Work with the commercial team to ensure timely change control submissions and support early agreement processes.
• Build relationships with clients and attend project meetings to review commercial issues.
• Assist in producing contract updates and reports, including financial positions and risk management.
• Uphold the company's core values concerning people and undertake other duties as necessary.

Skills and Qualifications:

• BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development.
• Membership in RICS or similar (desirable).
