SYSTRA UK & Ireland is seeking an Assistant Geotechnical Engineer to support delivery across projects, producing high-quality outputs and assisting senior engineers. The role emphasizes safe-by-design principles, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and development of technical capability.

Qualifications

• Degree in geotechnical engineering or related field; capable of delivering technical outputs.
• Experience producing reports, drawings, calculations or specifications to high standard.
• Familiarity with modelling tools and CDEs; awareness of ISO 19650 is a plus.
• Understanding of commercial factors such as budgets and delivery timescales.
• Proactive, collaborative, with strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Support geotechnical engineering delivery across projects with safe, robust solutions.
• Prepare calculations, drawings, specifications and supporting documentation.
• Contribute to bids, studies, and project work with clear technical input.
• Apply sound engineering principles appropriate to experience level.
• Review work for accuracy and alignment with standards and project needs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for coordinated design solutions.
• Identify risks and feasibility issues, escalating to senior engineers.
• Support safe-by-design principles in day-to-day work.
