Job summary

SYSTRA is seeking an Assistant Geotechnical Engineer to support diverse geotechnical tasks across projects. You will work under senior engineers to develop technical outputs, calculations, drawings and reports, while learning to balance safety, quality and schedule.

You will gain experience in collaborative design, information management and delivering robust geotechnical solutions within a hybrid working environment across the UK.

Qualifications

• A degree or equivalent in Geotechnical Engineering or related discipline.
• Some experience in a geotechnical engineering or design environment.
• Awareness of ISO 19650 information management principles.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of geotechnical work across projects with safe, robust solutions.
• Produce technical outputs: calculations, drawings, reports and specifications.
• Contribute to bids, studies and project work with clear technical input.
• Review work for accuracy and alignment with standards and project requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop coordinated design solutions.
• Identify risks and escalate to senior engineers or project managers.
