Job summary

JD GROUP is seeking a dynamic club manager to lead a JD Gyms facility in Leeds. You will coach Fitness Coaches and General Assistants, drive membership growth, and ensure exceptional member service while upholding brand standards.

With a proven track record in leisure management, you will motivate the team, hit sales targets, and maintain high safety and cleanliness standards to deliver a top-class gym experience.

Qualifications

• Must have proven management experience in leisure industry.
• Must be passionate about customer service and be an inspirational leader.
• Must be qualified to at least Level 2 Gym Instructor.
• Proven track record in driving sales and co-ordinating local marketing activity as well as recruiting and managing a successful team.
• Ideally will have experience as an Assistant Manager overseeing all business areas within a leisure facility or have substantial experience as a Fitness Manager.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Health and Safety Employee Policy and Company Procedures Handbook.
• Maintain JD Gyms Brand Standard.
• Conduct daily, weekly and monthly safety checks; report defects for safe operations.
• Recruit and manage a team of Fitness Coaches and General Assistants to ensure smooth club operations.
• Hold regular team meetings to aid development and keep staff updated.
• Aim to achieve all sales and membership targets; drive secondary revenue.
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness across the gym facility.
• Oversee weekly banking to minimise wastage and maximise profit.
• Enforce uniform standards among team members and yourself.
• Deliver outstanding member service and create an engaging work environment.
• Be an ambassador of JD Gyms.

Role overview:

This role requires a team player with flair and commercial ability, as well as the skill, energy and determination to help drive and develop the business alongside the General Manager. We're looking for a manager with the experience of maintaining and developing the standards and reputation, whilst nurturing a growing membership base and team.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all policies and procedures in both the Health and Safety Employee Policy and Company Procedures Handbook are adhered to.
• Responsible for adhering to and maintaining the JD Gyms Brand Standard.
• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly safety checks. Report and chase all defects, to ensure the building and its equipment is safe to use.
• Recruit and manage a team of employed Fitness Coaches and General Assistants to ensure the club is operational cover to ensure daily expectations are delivered.
• Hold regular team meetings to aid development and keep everyone updated.
• To work towards and aim to achieve all sales and membership targets that are set.
• To drive and maximise secondary spending revenue.
• To ensure the whole of the gym facility is of the highest standard of cleanliness.
• Ensure the in-house cleaners (General Assistant) are cleaning to the highest standard. To manage the weekly banking process so that wastage and variance is minimal, maximising profit.
• To ensure uniform standards are being adhered to by all team members and yourself.
• To always deliver outstanding member service.
• To help create an environment where the team enjoy themselves whilst at work.
• To always be an ambassador of JD Gyms.
