Job summary

Bat & Ball Covent Garden is seeking a hands-on Deputy General Manager to join London’s competitive socialising venue. You’ll work with the GM to run a high-volume site, lead a lively team and ensure top-tier guest experiences while driving commercial success.

You’ll excel in a fast-paced hospitality setting, empower staff, manage costs, and own shifts during busy periods. This is a dynamic, frontline leadership role in a vibrant city spot.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Deputy GM or strong Assistant GM ready to step up.
• Thrives in fast-paced, late-night hospitality environments.
• Natural leader with ability to coach and develop a team.
• Strong commercial awareness; able to drive revenue and control costs.
• Comfortable managing busy services and large group bookings.

The Role.

As our Deputy General Manager, you'll be right at the heart of the action, working alongside the General Manager to keep everything running smoothly while making sure every guest has an experience worth coming back for.. . You’ll be someone who:

• Has previous experience as a Deputy General Manager or a strong Assistant General Manager ready to take the next step..
• Thrives in a high-volume, fast-paced hospitality environment, ideally with experience in late-night venues, bars or competitive socialising..
• Is a natural leader who can inspire, coach and develop a team while keeping the atmosphere fun and engaging..
• Has strong commercial awareness, understands the numbers and knows how to drive revenue while managing labour and operational costs..
• Is confident managing busy services, large group bookings, events and late-night trade..
• Has a genuine passion for brilliant food, great drinks, entertainment and delivering unforgettable guest experiences..
• Isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves, lead from the front and get stuck in when things get busy..
