Wendy's Exeter is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead daily restaurant operations under the Restaurant General Manager, ensuring smooth service and guest satisfaction across shifts in a busy UK location.

You will focus on staffing, training and scheduling to build a 5-star team, coach your crew and drive sales. Join a fast-paced, customer‑centric environment with clear progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience leading people, preferably in a food-service environment.
• 1 year of line operations experience with ability to lead and manage in a fast-paced setting.
• 1 year of management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under the Restaurant General Manager, you will manage daily operations and staff of a Wendy’s restaurant.
• Focus on staffing, training and scheduling to build and retain a 5-star team.
• Identify talent and empower your team to grow via coaching and development.
• Use effective scheduling to put the right people in the right places at the right times.
• Be the face of the restaurant to new hires and crew members; drive store sales and profit goals.

What you’ll do

• Under the leadership of the Restaurant General Manager, you will manage the daily operations and staff of a Wendy’s restaurant
• Focus specifically on staffing, training and scheduling, all of which will help build and retain a 5-star team
• Identify talent and empower your team to grow by providing coaching & development
• Use effective scheduling to ensure your team is the right place at the right time
• Be the face of the restaurant to new hires, and crew members’
• This one’s a no-brainer: you’re key to increasing store sales and profit goals.

What you bring to the table

• Experience leading people, even better if you did it in a food service environment.
• 1 year of line operations experience; with demonstrated ability to lead and manage operations in a fast-paced environment.
• 1 year of management experience
• Flexibility to work 45-hour work weeks – must be available all day parts and days of the week.

You’re willing and able to

• Travel to other locations (restaurants, area office, etc.) as needed.
• Stand for long periods, bend and kneel and be able to lift 10-25 kg, as needed.
