Job summary

Mountain Warehouse is seeking an Assistant Garment Technologist - Tops to support multi-product women’s, men’s and children’s wear with a jersey focus. You will oversee a capsule area, run fit meetings, and drive innovation in sustainability and performance.

The role sits in the Buying department with a senior mentor and cross-functional collaboration. The position offers hybrid working: 3 days in the London office and 2 days at home, with competitive salary and benefits, holiday allowance,

Qualifications

• At least 1 year in an assistant technologist role.
• Capable of fitting unaided.
• Experience of testing review.
• Good data management and reporting skills.
• Experience of working with offshore suppliers.
• Good influencing, negotiation and communication skills.
• Team player capable of working under pressure to deadlines.
• Organised and methodical with great attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Managing the quality and fit for a capsule area with the support of a senior.
• Running fit meetings for your area, driving consistency and fit improvements.
• Driving innovation in product, performance, and sustainability through benchmarking and technical projects.
• Collaborating with Garment Technologist to ensure fabric, construction, and fit are technically suitable.
• Managing your category tests and AQL programme.
• Monitoring returns data to identify poor performance and deliver improvements.
• Building supplier relationships to influence quality and fit.

The role is multi-product women’s, men’s and childrenswear with a jersey focus. The successful candidates will have oversight of a small product area.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing the quality and fit for a capsule area with the support of a senior.

• Integral part of the buying team, working with the Garment Technologist to deliver technical suitability of fabric, construction, and fit.
