Job summary

THG, a global ecommerce group, is hiring an Assistant Garment Technologist for MP Activewear in Manchester. You will support garment technologists across activewear collections to ensure fit, function, quality and performance meet high standards.

You will work with suppliers and internal teams to manage development samples, fittings and technical documentation, contributing to continuous improvements in garment performance and durability.

Qualifications

• Experience as Assistant Garment Technologist or similar in activewear.
• Understanding of garment construction and sizing.
• Ability to read technical specifications and size charts.
• Proficient in Excel and data recording.

Responsibilities

• Support Garment Technologists through development from samples to bulk production.
• Assist with fit sessions, record measurements and update comments.
• Measure garments against technical specs and size charts.
• Support development of activewear focusing on fit, function and comfort.
• Maintain technical packs, specifications, size charts and records.
• Communicate with Product Development and external Production teams.
• Review sample quality and workmanship, escalate concerns as needed.
• Coordinate with suppliers on fit and quality comments.
• Assist with fabric testing, care label approvals and compliance docs.
• Track samples, fit approvals and technical sign-offs to meet deadlines.
• Evaluate performance fabrics and construction for end use.
