Job Title: Assistant Garment Technologist

Reporting to: Head of Tech

Location: Liverpool

Contract Type: Full time, 37.5 hours per week

About the Role

We are seeking an Assistant Garment Technologist to support our Garment Technology Team. The role involves administering the production process, working closely with designers, manufacturers, and production teams to ensure products meet quality, fit, and production standards, and maintaining delivery schedules.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proto, fit, and Gold Seals meet specifications and brand standards.
• Support the team with fit comments, communicate specifications, amendments, and size charts clearly.
• Experience with PLM systems is advantageous.
• Maintain test reports for fabrics, yarns, interlinings, trims, and artwork at proto stage.
• Coordinate bulk tests and garment testing, considering quality and costs.
• Conduct wearer trials on new fabrics and styles, and take appropriate actions.

Additional Tasks

• Visit warehouses regularly to inspect quality and manufacture, perform AQL inspections.
• Visit stores to monitor trends and retailer feedback.
• Review quality returns and feedback for improvements.
• Coordinate fit reviews each season to ensure consistency.
• Manage workload according to schedules and critical paths.
• Maintain good relationships with head office, stores, warehouse, and supply base.
• Organize department files and keep workstation tidy.
