Zusammenfassung

ME+EM is seeking an Assistant Garment Technologist to support the Garment Technology Team through accurate administration across the production process, collaborating with designers, manufacturers, and production teams to ensure products meet quality, fit and production standards while meeting delivery dates.

You will contribute to proto, fit and bulk testing, maintain and communicate specifications, and help drive continuous improvement across our fast-paced fashion operation in White City.

Qualifikationen

• Experience with garment production processes and quality standards.
• Familiarity with fit, proto, and bulk testing helpful.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Ensure proto, fit and Gold Seals meet specifications and brand standards.
• Support Garment Tech Team with fit comments, specifications, amendments, and size charts.
• If available, record test reports for cloth/yarn, interlining, trim, artwork at proto stage.
• Arrange relevant bulk tests and garment testing with quality versus cost in mind.
• Coordinate wearer trials for new fabrics or high-risk details and take action as needed.
• Visit warehouse regularly to identify quality or manufacturing issues and perform AQL inspections.
• Conduct regular shop visits to observe trends and retailer feedback with Design/Buying teams.
• Review monthly quality returns and take appropriate actions.
• Coordinate fit reviews per season with Senior Garment Tech to ensure consistent fit.
• Prioritize workload according to schedule and Critical Path.
• Build strong relationships with head office, stores, and warehouse teams.
• Maintain department filing and keep workstation organized.

About the Role

ME+EM are looking for an Assistant Garment Tech to Support the Garment Technology Team, through effective and accurate administration throughout the production process; by working closely with designers, manufacturers, and production teams to ensure that products meet quality, fit, and production standards maintaining the delivery dates.

Responsibilities

• Product:
• To ensure that proto, fit and Gold Seals are to the specifications requested and that the make is in line with the brand standards & Golden Rules.
• To support the Garment Tech Team with fit comments, communicate specifications, amendments, and size charts to the Supply Base in a clear and understandable language, both written and visual.
• Experience using PLM System previously would be an advantage.
• To ensure there is a test report (base) for all cloth/ yarn, interlining, trim, artwork at the proto stage.
• To ensure the relevant bulk tests & garment testing are requested, ensuring quality versus costs are considered.
• To ensure a wearer trial is conducted on a new fabric, high risk style/ details and action taken accordingly.

Additional Tasks

• To make regular scheduled visits to the Warehouse, to identify poor quality/ poor manufacture/ customer abuse. Or perform AQL inspections.
• To make regular, scheduled shop visits in line with trends/retailers specified by Design and or Buying team.
• To review the monthly quality returns report and feedback appropriate action when necessary.
• To co-ordinate (with the support of the Senior Garment Tech) and conduct a fit review, per season to ensure the brand's fit is correct and consistent.
• To prioritize own workload in line with Meetings Schedule and Critical Path.
• Build and maintain good working & professional relationships with head office, store and warehouse teams.
• Build and maintain good working & professional relationships with the supply base.
• Department filing.
• To keep workstation clean, tidy and well organized.
