Halmer-Recruit is seeking an Experienced Assistant Gardener to join a landscaping and garden maintenance business based in Enfield. You will work across residential estates and high-quality developments in North London, with a two-person team handling detailed maintenance tasks.

The role focuses on horticultural work rather than just mowing, with good plant knowledge essential. 2–3 years of relevant experience preferred; driving licence advantageous but not essential.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years' professional garden maintenance or horticultural experience.
• Good knowledge of plants and their general care.
• Experience maintaining beds, borders, shrubs and planted areas.
• Driving licence advantageous but not essential.

Responsabilités

• Carry out pruning, weeding, planting, bed and border maintenance and seasonal plant care.
• Maintain gardens and landscaped areas to a high standard.
• Monitor plant health and provide ongoing care.
• Carry out lawn and general grounds maintenance where required.
• Use garden machinery, equipment and hand tools safely.
• Work alongside another gardener to complete scheduled maintenance visits.
• Ensure sites are left clean, tidy and well presented.
• Follow company Health & Safety procedures.
