Assistant Gardener (full time)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Gardener (5 days a week), to work directly under the Head Gardener, on one of England’s historic and beautiful private estates.
Elton Hall is a family-owned Grade 1 listed building which opens to the public throughout the summer and also holds a few weddings and events. The gardens include formal lawns, herbaceous borders, an orangery, flower garden, water features, shrub garden, arboretum, wilderness garden, box & yew hedges and magnificent topiary. There is a thriving Plant Centre & Café in the Walled Garden which is under separate management.
The Assistant Gardener is a key member of the garden team ensuring that the gardens are presented and maintained to the highest standard. We are a small busy team and the ability to be able to be flexible during the summer months, is much appreciated. The successful candidate will possess some proven horticultural knowledge and experience including:
