Aim of the role

The purpose of this role is to support the ownership and ensure the well-being of all guests during their time at the hotel, maintain a high level of host presence throughout, and ensure the overall smooth running of the Front of House areas at all times when on duty.

Responsibilities:

  • To take ownership and pride in ensuring the welfare of all Front Office staff, completing appraisals, rotas, and training in the absence of the Front of House Manager.
  • To support and develop the Front Office team & ensure that Front Office is correctly staffed and trained to meet business demands, enabling team members to perform their duties to the hotel standards.
  • Ensure that the Front Office department is kept informed of all guest activity related to their arrival, stay, departure, and any special requirements or changes pertaining to reservations, groups, Private Events, packages, and promotions.
  • To take ownership of the short and long-term planning and management of the hotel’s Front Office operations and Chelsea Townhouse's Food and Beverage offerings.
  • Attend HOD, BEO, and Finance meetings; be familiar with monthly revenue budgets and targets.
  • Be passionate and confident about the well-being, satisfaction, and comfort of all guests within the department's scope, establishing a highly personalized style of service and attention.
  • Take pride and ownership in the smooth running and efficient organization of the Front Desk and Food and Beverage, in line with established procedures and standards.
