Job summary

Control Risks Group Holdings Ltd in Cardiff is seeking an Assistant Financial Accountant to support month-end close processes, intercompany reconciliations, and fixed assets management within a busy Shared Service Centre.

The role requires a solid accounting foundation, attention to detail, and strong communication skills. You will work with ERP systems (D365), Excel, and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; professional qualification desirable.
• Experience in finance or accounting roles, preferably within a shared service centre.
• Experience with ERP systems, specifically D365.
• Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in Excel; excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute month-end close procedures for intercompany transactions.
• Make provisions, accruals, and adjustments for AR/AP ledgers.
• Close sub-ledgers, perform reclassifications, and reconcile accounts.
• Manage month-end close for Travel & Expenses; prepare reports.
• Oversee Fixed Assets & Leasing depreciation and reconciliations.
• Maintain the Fixed Assets register and ensure accurate reporting.
• Collaborate within a fast-paced Shared Service environment.
