Job summary

We Help Recruit Talent is recruiting an Assistant Finance Manager in Crawley on a hybrid basis with a fixed term 12-month contract. The role involves owning month-end processes, reporting, and financial control activities, working closely with finance leadership and cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate will be qualified (AAT/ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent), have solid management accounts and balance-sheet experience, and be adept at Excel and financial systems, providing accurate insights

Qualifications

• This role requires a recognized finance qualification (AAT/ACA/ACCA/CIMA) and strong management accounts experience.
• Proven month-end and financial-control capabilities are essential.
• Excellent Excel and familiarity with financial systems is expected.
• Ability to liaise across finance, operations and commercial teams is important.
• Detail-oriented, proactive and capable of managing competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support and coordinate month-end close activities
• Prepare management accounts, reporting packs and variance analysis
• Review journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations
• Maintain balance-sheet accuracy and investigate discrepancies
• Monitor working capital drivers and optimize cashflow
• Assist with group reporting, audit preparation and statutory compliance
• Provide day-to-day support to a Finance Assistant
• Collaborate with commercial and operational teams to provide insights
• Drive process improvements and ad-hoc analysis
