Assistant Farm Manager

Company Information

Edward Vinson Ltd is based in the Southeast of England and has been producing soft fruit for over 150 years, the business comprises three main departments, Breeding, Propagation and Commercial fruit production.

The fruit farm has an annual production of 2,800t strawberries, 300t raspberries and 170t blackcurrants.

Responsibilities

· Irrigation Management: Lead and oversee irrigation teams, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations.

· Feeding Process & Procedures: Monitor and maintain pH levels, moisture, and nutrient delivery to crops.

· New Irrigation Projects: Drive the implementation of new irrigation initiatives and systems.

· Field Planning: Design and develop irrigation systems for new fields.

· Supplier Coordination: Communicate and collaborate with suppliers to ensure seamless operations.

· Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all Health & Safety policies and procedures are strictly followed.

· Farm Manager Cover: Act as the Farm Manager in their absence, ensuring continuity of operations.
