4Site Recruitment Ltd. is seeking an Assistant Estimator for a high-end residential bid team in North London.

The role involves supporting the preparation of tender submissions, reviewing drawings and specifications, and assisting with cost estimates to help win prestigious projects. You will carry out measurements and obtain quotes from subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring accurate costing and timely tender submissions.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in estimating or pre-construction within construction.
• Good understanding of construction costs and tendering.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical skills.
• Organised, motivated and keen to develop.
• Wants to learn from experienced estimators and progress over time.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing tender submissions and cost estimates.
• Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
• Carry out measurements and take-offs.
• Obtain and compare subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Help build up accurate project costs and identify potential risks.
• Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers throughout the tender process.
• Work closely with the pre-construction team to meet tender deadlines.
