Job summary

Fetch Recruit is representing a leading main contractor in Central London seeking an Assistant Estimator. The role focuses on supporting the estimation team across Automotive, Commercial, Education, Healthcare and Residential sectors.

You will assist with cost estimates, tender bids, budgets and cost data management. The ideal candidate has a relevant degree and some estimating experience, with strong numeracy and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Strong numerical and analytical skills are required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of accurate and detailed cost estimates for projects across various sectors.
• Support the Estimating team with tender submissions and bid proposals.
• Prepare and analyse project budgets, cost plans, and forecasts.
• Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to gather pricing information.
• Assist in the review and analysis of project specifications and drawings.
• Maintain and update cost databases, ensuring the accuracy and relevance of data.
• Assist with project risk analysis and mitigation strategies.
• Monitor and report on project costs and progress during the pre-construction phase.
