NHS Scotland seeks an experienced Assistant Estates Manager to support the Estates Manager at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee. A permanent opportunity has arisen for the Property Department, Estates Division to recruit an Assistant Estates Manager to be operational within Ninewells Hospital in Dundee to assist the Estates Manager to meet the strategic and (Where required) operational objectives within NHS Tayside.
Ensure compliance of service within agreed Statutory, Mandatory, Safety, Environmental, Quality Standards, Policies and Procedures.
Design, Project Manage and implement all delegated projects.
Deputise for the Estates Manager or Maintenance Manager as required.
The post holder may be required to work at any NHS Tayside Property as necessary
The main duties will be to install, repair and maintain the built environment, including building services, plant and equipment within all properties of the organisation in order that the equipment can carry out its intended purpose safely, and to ensure the smooth operation of the mechanical systems within the organisation. There is a specific requirement to take on the role as water safety technical lead.
Participation in an on call rota and the ability to travel between NHS sites are required.
You will be required to achieve the mandatory Inductions standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
