A permanent opportunity has arisen for the Property Department, Estates Division, to recruit an Assistant Estates Manager to be operational within Ninewells Hospital in Dundee, assisting the Estates Manager to meet strategic and operational objectives within NHS Tayside.
Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with statutory, mandatory, safety, environmental, quality standards, policies, and procedures. The role involves deputising for the Estates Manager or Maintenance Manager as required and may require working at any NHS Tayside property.
Main duties involve installing, repairing, and maintaining the built environment, including building services, plant, and equipment, ensuring safety and operational efficiency. There is a specific requirement to serve as the water safety technical lead.
Participation in an on-call rota and the ability to travel between NHS sites are required. You must achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and adhere to the Code of Conduct throughout employment.
Hours of work: 37 hours per week.
