Kier Group plc is seeking an Assistant Environmental Specialist to join the Environmental Team and support delivery of environmental consultancy services across UK projects. This early career position offers mentorship and a solid foundation in environmental management, with hands-on experience and exposure to diverse projects.

Based in the North of England, you'll work across road, rail, water and property sectors as part of Kier Design, a Tier 1 contractor with a large design consultancy team.

Qualificações

• Graduate in environmental discipline or working towards a degree in an environmental field.
• Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in environmental management and the construction industry, with motivation to learn and develop professionally.
• Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to feedback.

Responsabilidades

• Support production of Environmental Impact Assessments, Management Plans and Method Statements.
• Assist in obtaining licences, permits and consents.
• Perform inspections and Environmental Clerk of Works duties.
• Support client, stakeholder and technical meetings.
• Assist in preparation of bids and fee proposals.

As an Assistant Environmental Specialist, you'll be working within the Environmental Team, supporting them in delivering environmental consultancy services across exciting projects. This role offers a wonderful opportunity for an early career Environmental Specialist to gain hands‑on experience, receive mentorship from experienced professionals, and develop a strong foundation in environmental management. Due to the exciting and rapid expansion of our internal environmental consultancy services, you'll be working on a range of projects across the UK. Your day to day will include:

• Supporting the production of technical environmental documents including Environmental Impact Assessments, Management Plans and Method Statements
• Aiding in obtaining and adhering to environmental licences, permits and consents
• Carrying out inspections and Environmental Clerk of Works duties
• Helping with client, stakeholder and technical meetings
• Assisting in the preparation of bids and fee proposals

Holding a degree (or working towards a degree) in an Environmental related discipline

• A graduate member of ISEP or equivalent
• Demonstrating a genuine interest in pursuing a career in environmental management and the construction industry, with clear motivation to learn and develop professionally
• Showing enthusiasm for learning new skills and knowledge, and the ability to adapt in response to feedback
• In possession of a Full driving licence
