Job summary

Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) invites applications for a full-time Assistant Environment Protection Officer on a rolling 3-month contract. The role will be based across the Lanarkshire area, supporting regulatory activities and data processing with a team.

The ideal candidate will have SCQF Level 6-7, strong communication with stakeholders, and the ability to triage workloads in a fast-paced environment. SEPA offers hybrid/flexible working and a comprehensive benefits package.

  • Effective communication skills with a range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to triage work and priorities, escalating risks and issues where necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Provides support for the regulatory activities of the Falkirk, Alloa, Stirling & Perth team or the Edinburgh, Lothian & Borders Team.
  • Supports team members in the processing and reporting of information and data.
  • Routine compliance assessment work and low-level complaint response and enforcement work.
  • Responding to first level enquiries.
