Job summary

Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) is recruiting for an Assistant Environment Protection Officer on a rolling 3 month contract, based across the Lanarkshire area. You will support regulatory activities and routine compliance tasks as part of our commitment to protecting Scotland’s environment.

The role requires SCQF Level 6-7 or equivalent, good communication with stakeholders, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team.

Responsibilities

  • Supports regulatory activities for the Falkirk, Alloa, Stirling & Perth team or Edinburgh, Lothian & Borders Team
  • Supports team members in the processing and reporting of information and data
  • Performs routine compliance assessment work and low-level enforcement activities
  • Responds to first level enquiries

  • Ability to triage work and priorities, escalatingrisksand issues where necessary
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced team environment
