Job summary

Mitie is seeking an Assistant ER Advisor to join the Employee Relations team. You will manage a caseload of ER matters, advise managers on HR policies, and deliver remote ER support across UK contracts. CIPD studies supported by the company, and strong IT skills are preferred.

The role is full-time with a 6 months fixed-term contract. Location is UK-wide with remote work possible outside the Midlands and reporting to the Employee Relations team.

Location: Location: UK Wide (ER team are based in Birmingham however, remote work can be provided if based outside of the Midlands)

Shift: Full-time, Monday to Friday

Contract: 6 Months Fixed Term Contract

Role Responsibilities

• Manage your own caseload of employee relations matters from initial receipt through to conclusion.
• Provide advice and guidance on HR policies, procedures and best practice.
• Deliver employee relations support to managers via the ER advice line.
• Utilise technology and case management systems to provide a high-quality remote service.
• Support the triage of employee relations cases received from across the business.
• Build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders across both public and private sector contracts.

What We're Looking For

• Knowledge of Employee Relations is ideal (such as Absence Management)
• CIPD qualified or eager to undertake CIPD studies with company support.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• An understanding of HR systems would be advantageous.
• A keen interest in Employment Law and HR best practice.
• Strong appreciation of confidentiality and the handling of sensitive information.
• Comfortable working over the phone and taking calls
