Job description

An exciting opportunity for a motivated, values-driven, and passionate HR/OD professional to join Whittington Health. The successful candidate will lead the Organisational Development, Talent and Development, and Staff Wellbeing teams, providing key services and spearheading major projects aligned with our workforce strategy, including leadership development, staff wellbeing and engagement, career development, national staff surveys, People Pulse surveys, coaching, and team interventions such as mediation and workshops.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Working with the Chief People Officer and Deputy Director of Workforce to oversee the OD agenda and implement strategic OD interventions supporting the Trust’s workforce strategy, focusing on culture, values, leadership, talent management, engagement, and staff wellbeing.
  2. Supporting the workforce transformation agenda from OD, Learning & Development, and Staff Wellbeing perspectives.
  3. Leading and managing the Learning & Development Service to meet training and education needs, ensuring the workforce can deliver exceptional service.
  4. Leading a team of learning, development, OD, and wellbeing practitioners to develop and deliver aligned programmes across the organisation, in line with the Strategic Workforce Plan.
  5. Partnering with the Directors of Race, Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (REDI) on the Trust’s Equality and Diversity agenda, using OD tools to drive change.
  6. Providing educational and organisational development expertise and leadership.
  7. Integrating leadership practice and wellbeing support to maintain a healthy and happy workforce, including managing the Employee Assistance Programme.
