Job summary

NatWest Group in Jersey invites applications for an Assistant Director, Funds Coverage. You’ll liaise with clients and internal stakeholders to support transaction origination, execution and ongoing servicing, while maintaining accurate records and timely deliverables.

You’ll combine commercial acumen with risk awareness, bring experience of private funds or related financial services, and contribute to improving processes and client outcomes through strong relationship management.

• Play a key role in supporting the origination of new business, managing client relationships and delivering tailored banking solutions for private funds clients
• Support the full client lifecycle, including origination, on-boarding, relationship development and ongoing client management
• Develop high-quality client strategies, pitch materials and internal reporting, which support commercial decision-making.

What you'll do

As an Assistant Director for Funds Coverage, you’ll liaise with clients and internal stakeholders to support transaction origination, execution, and customer servicing, while maintaining accurate records of client activity, pipeline progress, and deal documentation. Moreover, you’ll help coordinate and drive the smooth execution of customer requests and transactions, working closely across various stakeholders, ensuring consistency, and timeliness in all deliverables, in line with our risk and control frameworks.

In addition, you’ll be:

• Maintaining accurate records of customer interactions, pipeline activity, and deal progress using internal systems
• Demonstrating strong awareness of regulatory and risk requirements, ensuring all activities are being conducted in line with policy and control frameworks
• Demonstrating an understanding of the private funds market, identifying key themes and how this may impact clients and their requirements both today and in the future
• Contributing to continuous improvement by identifying process efficiencies, supporting automation initiatives, and ensuring procedures are regularly reviewed and updated
• Contributing to the delivery of strategic initiatives by supporting the implementation of customer, cultural, and commercial objectives
• Actively participating in team development and knowledge sharing

The skills you'll need

You’ll bring experience of managing or supporting institutional client relationships, together with a broad understanding of origination, transaction execution and ongoing client servicing. Experience of private funds or alternative investments would be advantageous, although we also welcome candidates with relevant experience from wider financial services or professional-services backgrounds.

You’ll combine commercial awareness with a practical understanding of risk management and an interest in the economic, financial and industry developments affecting our clients.

It would be advantageous if you have the achievement of, or active progress toward, relevant professional qualifications.

In addition, you’ll need:

• Strong relationship management skills and a commitment to delivering excellent client outcomes
• Commercial awareness, with the ability to identify opportunities and support income growth
• The ability to solve problems and apply an analytical mindset
