Job summary
Mott MacDonald is recruiting for a Design Manager / Project Engineer in our Rail Engineering Management team to deliver multidisciplinary rail and transport projects across the UK and internationally. You will work with engineering, design and systems professionals on high-profile programmes and support design management, project engineering and systems integration throughout the project lifecycle.

- Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering or infrastructure projects.

- Experience working collaboratively within project teams while taking ownership of assigned responsibilities.
- Experience within the rail, transport or infrastructure sectors (Desirable).
- Understanding of design management, project engineering or systems engineering principles (Desirable).
- Knowledge of BIM and digital delivery tools (Desirable).
- Experience supporting engineering assurance activities (Desirable).
- Membership, or working towards membership, of a relevant professional institution (Desirable).
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams and stakeholders (Desirable).

We help conceive, drive, and implement transport solutions for cities, regions, and asset owners/operators around the globe. Our planning, engineering, environmental and management skills cover the whole project cycle. We play a major role in developing and delivering the Global Transport Sector Strategy.
Our Rail Engineering Management team is growing, and we are looking for talented Design Managers and Project Engineers to help deliver a diverse portfolio of rail and transport projects across the UK and internationally.
You will work alongside experienced engineering, design and systems professionals on projects for clients including High Speed Two (HS2), Transport for London (TfL), East West Rail, Network Rail and Irish Rail. This is an excellent opportunity for engineers looking to broaden their experience in multidisciplinary design, systems integration and project delivery while developing towards leadership roles.
Our team supports projects through every stage of the lifecycle, from feasibility and optioneering through to detailed design, construction and commissioning. We work across a wide range of disciplines including engineering management, design management, project engineering, systems engineering, assurance, information management, BIM, testing and commissioning and project management.
