Job summary

National Gas is seeking an Assistant Design Coordinator to help shape the delivery of engineering solutions across Asset Health projects. You will coordinate design activities from concept to completion, ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality outcomes.

Hybrid role with regional travel in the East region. You will support governance, manage design reviews, and liaise with engineers, managers and delivery partners to keep momentum across multiple compressor stations and key assets.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting engineering, design, construction or project delivery activities.
• Understanding of engineering design and project delivery processes.
• Knowledge of health and safety requirements and governance principles.
• Strong planning, organisation and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and track multiple activities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate design activities across the project lifecycle.
• Support governance and Management of Change processes.
• Organise technical reviews, design workshops and stakeholder meetings.
• Track actions, risks and queries to support progress.
• Maintain communication between engineering teams, project managers and partners.
• Support delivery during design, construction and close-out phases.
• Identify opportunities to improve and standardise design processes.
