Job summary

Cameron Clarke Associates t/a talent-finder is seeking an Assistant Depot Manager in Milton Keynes to support daily depot operations and supervise warehouse staff in a fast-paced logistics environment.

You will help optimise transport, inventory and supply chain processes, coordinate shipping and receiving, and ensure safety and accuracy using TMS, WMS and ERP systems.

The role features £17.00 per hour, 28 days of annual leave including bank holidays, a company pension and on-site parking.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in logistics or warehouse environment.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, logistics management and warehouse operations.
• Hands-on experience with TMS, WMS and ERP systems.
• Experience using AS400 platforms.
• Experience with shipping and receiving procedures.
• Excellent organisational skills with a strong focus on safety and operational accuracy.
• Demonstrated ability to support and implement process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Depot Manager with daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving and inventory management.
• Supervise warehouse staff, ensuring safety procedures are followed and productivity targets are met.
• Coordinate transportation management systems (TMS) to optimise delivery schedules and freight movements.
• Support process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs and improve service levels.
• Use warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP systems to maintain inventory accuracy and streamline workflows.
• Oversee forklift operations, ensuring appropriate training, certification and safe handling of materials.
• Monitor profit and loss statements to support financial accountability and identify cost-saving opportunities.
