Blok 'N' Mesh Ltd in Reading is seeking an Assistant Depot Manager to support daily depot operations and supervise warehouse staff. You will help optimise logistics, transportation and supply chain processes in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires supervisory experience in a warehouse/logistics setting, with hands-on use of TMS, WMS and ERP systems including AS400, and a strong focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

Proven supervisory experience within a logistics or warehouse environment.
Strong knowledge of supply chain processes and warehouse operations.
Hands-on experience with TMS, WMS and ERP systems.
Experience using AS400 platforms.
Experience with shipping and receiving procedures.
Excellent organisational skills with a focus on safety and accuracy.
Demonstrated ability to support and implement process improvements.

Responsibilities

Assist the Depot Manager with daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving and inventory management.
Supervise warehouse staff, ensuring safety procedures are followed and productivity targets are met.
Coordinate transportation management systems to optimise delivery schedules and freight movements.
Support process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs and improve service levels.
Use warehouse management systems and ERP systems to maintain inventory accuracy and streamline workflows.
Oversee forklift operations, ensuring training, certification and safe handling of materials.
Monitor profit and loss statements to support financial accountability and identify cost-saving opportunities.

The role will suit someone with previous supervisory experience within a warehouse or logistics environment who is confident working in a fast-paced operational setting.
