Job summary

MHR is seeking an Assistant Data Protection Officer to protect personal data across customers, colleagues and partners. You will work with Privacy, Security, Legal and IT to handle GDPR, governance and compliance tasks while building expertise in data protection challenges.

You will join a small but influential Data Protection Office, collaborating with senior leaders and the Board to drive privacy initiatives and oversight across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience in data protection, privacy, compliance, governance or risk.
• Good understanding of UK GDPR, EU GDPR and data protection principles.
• Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
• Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
• CIPP/E, CIPM or ISEB Practitioner Certificate in Data Protection.
• Experience within a SaaS, technology or regulated environment.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, SOC 2 or similar compliance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Support the Data Protection Officer in maintaining MHR's privacy and governance framework.
• Coordinate and monitor Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).
• Maintain compliance documentation, including Records of Processing Activities (ROPAs).
• Support the management of data protection incidents and breaches.
• Assist with supplier due diligence and third-party risk assessments.
• Deliver privacy guidance, communications and awareness activities.
• Support customer, supplier and internal privacy enquiries.
• Monitor compliance activities and provide reporting to stakeholders.

As our Assistant Data Protection Officer, you'll help protect the personal data entrusted to MHR by customers, colleagues and partners. You’ll join a small but influential Data Protection Office, working with stakeholders across the business, including senior leaders, Directors and the Board. Your Impact
