Currie & Brown in Glasgow is seeking an Assistant Cost Consultant to join our team. This role offers a clear path to APC with mentoring from an experienced team and exposure to major projects.

You will support project leaders, develop cost management skills across a varied portfolio including commercial, residential, towers and government frameworks, and contribute to successful project outcomes while building strong client relationships.

• BSc in quantity surveying or equivalent.

• Maintaining effective communication with clients, colleagues and project stakeholders.
• Ensuring all work is completed accurately and within agreed timescales.
• Building strong client relationships and representing Currie & Brown in a professional manner.
• Taking an active role in personal and professional development, with the opportunity to work towards your APC.

Currie & Brown is currently looking for an Assistant Cost Consultant to join our Glasgow office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to develop their career, broaden their project experience and work towards achieving their APC with the support of an experienced team.

The successful candidate will support project leaders in delivering a high standard of service to our clients, contributing to successful project outcomes and developing their cost management skills across a varied portfolio of projects. These include large commercial new builds for blue-chip clients, private residential developments, towers and national government frameworks.

Currie & Brown’s quantity surveying team is one of the largest in Scotland and is currently working on a wide variety of notable projects which the successful candidate could get involved in.

• A multi-phased redevelopment of prominent city centre and beachfront
• Programme of school projects across Scotland

Your core duties will involve:

• Providing cost advice and support to clients across a range of projects

What skills and attributes are we looking for from you

• BSc in quantity surveying or equivalent
• Private commercial sector experience – ideally experience gained from some of the following: offices, residential, hospitality, major projects, fit out and refurb
• Proficient CostX or other Cost Planning software
