Job summary

Cardiff Education Catering is seeking an Assistant Cook to support the Kitchen Manager with all aspects of the catering facility, delivering meals across schools in Cardiff.

The role is part-time permanent (term time) and requires flexibility, teamwork, and a positive attitude; salary £15,234 per annum based on 25 hours per week and 39 weeks a year, with DBS checks. Applications in English or Welsh are welcome.

Cardiff Education Catering operates a service to circa 120 Secondary, Primary, and Special schools in Cardiff through 500 staff producing around 4 million meals per annum, providing breakfast, lunch and therapeutic diets for pupils, vending services and occasion catering for business meetings.

Additional information

Actual Salary: £15,234 per annum. This salary is based on working 25 hours per week and 39 weeks per year, rather than a full-time role of 37 hours per week and 52 weeks per year.

Please note: The salary shown assumes a start date of 1 September. If you start after 1 September, your salary for your first school year will be lower than the amount shown above because you will work fewer weeks.
