Overview

As an Assistant Chef, you will work alongside the Chef Supervisor to assist with the preparation and serving of school meals. The successful applicant will also be responsible for the day-to‑day running of the school kitchen in the absence of the Catering Supervisor.

Responsibilities & Qualifications
  • Experience in food preparation, including vegetables and sauces
  • Knowledge of food hygiene and safety regulations and their application in the kitchen
  • Knowledge of good customer care practice and experience of working in a customer‑focused environment
  • A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
