Job summary

NRL Recruitment is seeking an Assistant Contracts Surveyor to support the commercial team on a major construction scheme in Luton. This role is ideal for someone early in their career or with relevant academic qualifications, offering hands-on experience and the chance to develop expertise within a professional, supportive environment.

You will assist in subcontract administration, contribute to cost tracking, valuations, and payment applications, and help maintain accurate commercial records

Qualifications

• Degree, HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or similar discipline, or relevant experience.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with NEC/JCT contracts advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard IT systems.
• Eager to learn and progress within a commercial team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in administering subcontracts, including preparation and processing of payments.
• Support cost tracking, reporting, and forecasting activities.
• Help to prepare valuations and applications for payment.
• Collate and maintain accurate commercial records and documentation.
• Contribute to the preparation of tender and procurement documents.
• Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and project teams to support smooth delivery.
• Ensure compliance with contract terms and company procedures.
