Job summary
Anglian Water in the West of the region (Milton Keynes area) seeks an Assistant Commissioning Engineer to support the delivery of commissioning across water projects. The role is site-based, hands-on, and aims to develop towards a Commissioning Engineer role, working with experienced engineers.
You will assist in planning, testing, documentation, and handover processes, with training across assets and systems. Closing date 8 Sep 2026.
Qualifications
- Electrical engineering qualification (Level3) or equivalent.
- M&E apprenticeship or equivalent technical background.
- Knowledge of MCCs, PLCs, instrumentation and control systems.
Responsibilities
- Support commissioning of new treatment works and systems.
- Assist in development of Commissioning Plans, documentation and tests.
- Carry out FAT & SAT testing and assist with handover to Operations.
- Support dry and wet commissioning activities and optimise processes.
- Fault finding and troubleshooting of automated control systems.
- Help produce handover documentation and ensure standards before transfer.
- Collaborate with construction, design and operations teams.
