Job summary

HS2 Ltd is recruiting an Assistant Commercial Manager to support the commercial management of delivery projects in the UK. You will work with contractors and the supply chain to ensure effective commercial control, value for money, and timely delivery in accordance with NEC3 contracts.

The role provides commercial assurance, governance and oversight to the Head of Commercial, with hybrid working across London, Milton Keynes or Birmingham. Strong contracting experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience administering contracts for infrastructure or similar projects.
• Understanding of dispute resolution processes and procedures.
• Knowledge of common commercial policies and risk management methods.

Responsibilities

• Support commercial management of HS2 contracts across project lifecycle.
• Assist procurement and award of contracts in a compliant, timely manner.
• Build relationships with contractors and suppliers to enable delivery.
• Develop commercial documentation and contract management plans.
• Provide commercial advice ensuring governance and obligations compliance.
• Assist with NEC3 contract administration and records.
• Support cost estimates, variations, and compensation events analysis.
• Review supplier performance and contribute to management reporting.
• Negotiate commercial agreements and resolve supply chain disputes.
