A vacancy has arisen for a motivated, enthusiastic, and reliable individual to join the Respiratory Physiology team as an Assistant Clinical Physiologist (band 3). The role is primarily based at our specialist sleep centre at Charing Cross Hospital, providing comprehensive diagnostic testing for various sleep disorders. There is potential for rotation into the Lung Function departments across different Trust sites. You will join a multidisciplinary team including consultants, clinical scientists, physiologists, and administrators.
You will be responsible for high-quality data acquisition and observation recording during overnight sleep studies, preparing and downloading home testing equipment, and supplying replacement parts for sleep therapeutic devices. The role involves working night shifts one week in four on a rotational basis. In lung function, you will perform basic diagnostic tests and support physiologist staff with more complex testing.
This is a specialist role; direct experience is not required as full training will be provided, but some experience with patients is advantageous. Excellent customer service skills, empathy, and the ability to work under pressure are essential.
