CFC’s Property & Casualty claims team handles claims involving property damage and bodily injury across various industries, sectors, policy types, and locations worldwide. Industries include tech start-ups, established restaurants, and large-scale food manufacturers. Every day presents new challenges!

About the role

The Assistant Claims Adjuster will work closely with colleagues in Claims, Underwriting, Finance, IT, and Products, complying with all relevant legal and statutory requirements (including FCA and Lloyd’s).

Your role includes ensuring CFC’s claims department functions effectively as a TPA for capacity providers, adhering to SLAs & claims handling agreements, and promoting Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) and Conduct Risk principles. Responsibilities include managing a caseload, handling administrative duties like electronic file management, payment requests, and producing management information.

You will support the Team Leader, Claims Manager, and Claims Director, working with underwriters, participating in underwriting meetings, providing feedback on claims trends, and collaborating with the Products team on product development.

About you

You should have strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, excellent organizational abilities, and the capacity to work under pressure. A willingness to learn, challenge the status quo, and maintain a positive attitude are essential.

Previous insurance claims experience in the Lloyd’s / London market is desirable but not mandatory. Education to degree level is preferred but not required. Success in this role depends on your ability to embrace challenges and find creative solutions.
