Job summary

Renaissance Care Limited is recruiting for an Assistant Chef at Meadowlark Care Home in Forres. You will support the head chef in delivering healthy, nutritious seasonal meals and cater for residents with dietary requirements.

Responsibilities include supervising kitchen staff, maintaining equipment, and upholding COSHH/HACCP hygiene standards and infection control. 22.5 hours per week with a competitive benefits package including training and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven kitchen experience and experience supervising staff
• Ability to plan menus and cater for large groups
• Knowledge of hygiene and safety standards (COSHH/HACCP)

Responsibilities

• Assist head chef in preparing healthy, nutritious meals for residents
• Supervise kitchen team and ensure high hygiene standards
• Check and maintain kitchen equipment and report issues
• Ensure infection control protocols are followed in the kitchen
